Message Here is my original post last week:

http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2535065/Anyone-installed-a-Z1-25-IC-piping-and-Ash-intake-combo.html

So after my initial post on the issues I was having, after working with Z1 it was explained that the Z1 2.5" IC pipe kit was made to use the stock intake pipes. My customer had bought the Ash planar intake kit to use and things were not lining up very well. Z1 said that the Ash kit was not out yet when they made their kit. I was able to get the hoses on but they squished into each other so bad that things would not fit right and parts of hoses were being pushed in and restricted. and that was without clamps, or any of the pipes bolted down, etc. Everything was just way too tight So I decided to swap the Ash pipes under the headlights back to the stock pipes. Not a fun task with everything else already installed but I was able to do it. Lucky he already had the Selin elbows/kit before as well so we could reuse that for the dual intakes. Now all the pipes fit.

Next issue was his bovs. He had a custom set up which pretty much came straight off the stock ic pipes. Z1 designed their pipes to use the stock recircs and hoses. With everything in place I had no where to route the bovs without going out and looking for and buying different hoses to make them go somewhere else. We decided to go back to the stock recirc set up (which is better anyway). He got a set of use recircs and a set of silicone hoses from Z1.

Going off the Z1 install write up the stock recirc hoses get pretty twisted and collapse some when you install everything. Also on the passenger side there isn't much room because of the ac equipment. Add in a larger oil cooler and you are gonna have more issues. My customers oil cooler was actually modified to sit back further to provide more room for the intake filters. This made the room for the recirc very tight.

I decided to do a little Woody-spec mod again to the recircs and got them to fit perfect. Also the recirc hose does not get kinked/collapsed/twisted. I cut the 90 degree portion off the recirc and cut the side mounting tabs off as well to clean it up a little more. Also clocked the port fitting which is standard for these custom installs (even have to do it for Z1's install).

I then mounted them up on top instead.

Drove the car yesterday, everything works fine. Lots of hassles but in the end it's done and good.
